Many of our county's day care homes are supported by CDFC's "Helping Hands Food Program" insuring good food and nutrition for growing strong bodies and smart minds. The home providers receive a monthly cash stipend for participation in the program through the Child and Adult Care Food Program. Child Care Information Services of Centre County provides financial assistance to eligible families, free customized child care referral lists and quality child care and education counseling.
